1. Nap

Sleeping doesn't involve a lot of effort, but it can be almost miraculous for your skin. Make a point of carving out ample time for sleep each night — remember you want to have about 20 minutes to fall asleep so always schedule about a half an hour more than the amount of time you plan to sleep.

When possible, work in time for naps as well. If you can't nap during the day, try just lying still for about 20 minutes and clearing your mind.

2. Reduce Stress

Clearing your mind or meditating can be key for reducing sleep, and that is also an effective, almost effortless anti-aging technique. Take some time to critically look at the role of stress in your life. For instance, some people feel constant stress about their financial situations, but in reality, they pull through every month.

If you're in a situation like that, imagine what would happen if you released the stress without changing anything else. In many cases, you may find that with just a little paradigm shift, you eliminate the negativity but retain all the positive vibes. That can help to stave off the appearance of new wrinkles.

When you're stressed, your body releases the hormone cortisol. That in turn degrades the collagen in your skin and that leads to wrinkles. When you get rid of stress, you eliminate that wrinkle trigger.

3. Wear a Hat

A hat isn't free, but you can get one fairly cheaply. Putting it on before you leave the house every morning takes just a second, but the protection you get from the sun's rays is priceless.

4. Change Your Foundation

If you already wear foundation on a regular basis, you may want to tweak the foundation you use. This is a great anti-aging technique that doesn't require you to add any new routines to your day or expenses to your budget.

Some foundations are specifically designed for anti-aging. In particular, you may want to look for a foundation with sunblock in it.

5. Don't Smoke

If you are not a smoker, pat yourself on the back. You are taking a key step to reduce aging every day. If you are a smoker, consider quitting. You will save money and protect yourself from wrinkles.
